I started baking at a very young age with my late Nan in her kitchen. She taught me how to make lovely fairy cakes, and every time I visited as a child we would do some baking.
As I grew up, baking took a back seat until I met my husband. When we moved in together I started baking again and my love grew for celebration cakes. I made my first iPhone cake for my brother's birthday, he loved it, but I knew I had my work cut out if I wanted to make this work.
I started making cakes and taking them in to work for every one to try so I could get some practice. However I knew I was missing something, so I contacted a friend to help me decorate another friend's cake, and I learnt a lot in just a few hours. From then on I spent hours and hours of every day just to improve, and then Yummy Little Secrets was born.
Three years later, I've catered for more parties, gatherings and special occasions than I can put a number to. But as I put my heart into it, I remember every single one.
